The primary role of the Perspective Planning (PP) Division is to work as the nodal department for the state of Assam in respect of the Ministry of DoNER and to work as the facilitator for smooth incorporation, execution, evaluation and completion of various projects under the Ministry.

Perspective Planning (PP) Division is looking after the matter relating to schemes of MDoNER viz. PM-DevINE, NESIDS (OTRI), NESIDS (Roads), NLCPR, Special Development Packages for KAATC, DHATC, and BTC.

All the various activities related to the projects under different schemes in various phases of its implementation viz. pre-sanctioned phase and post-sanctioned phase is being carried out through Vikassetu portal (Between the Ministry and T&D Department, Assam.
