Untied Fund is being placed at the disposal of every District with a view to providing a certain measure of financial freedom and to encourage them to plan some schemes in their discretion. This is an earmarked fund for the purpose of encouraging local level planning. The scheme under Untied Fund is of local nature. It is desirable that such schemes will help either production or employment generation or both.

Special attention has also been given for locally felt needs of selective infrastructure development of most needy areas of the District. The fund is placed at the disposal of the concerned District Authorities for its implementation at the local level.

During the year 2020-21 an amount of Rs.16661.07 lakh was released out of the budget allocation of Rs. 17825.00 lakh against 1495 nos of schemes.

For the year 2021-22, the budget provision is Rs.8000.00 lakh.
