Prime Minister's Development Initiative for North Eastern Region (PM-DevINE) Scheme is a central sector scheme which is fully funded by the Government of India, was announced in the Union Budget 2022-23. The scheme envisages funding infrastructure, in the spirit of PM GatiShakti, supporting social development projects based on felt needs of the North-East, generating livelihood opportunities for youth and women and filling the gaps in various sectors.
• PM-DevINE is an additional to quantum of resources available for development of NER. This will not be a substitute for existing Central and State Schemes.
• Funding Pattern - Central Sector Scheme with 100% Central funding - administered by MDoNER.
• Maximum and minimum amount which may be sanctioned under the PMDevINE scheme shall be Rs. 500 crore and Rs.50 crore respectively, in any one scheme, intervention or project.
• Total outlay of the scheme will be ₹ 6,600 crore for the 4-year period from 2022-23 to 2025-26 for N.E States.
